This document will contain all the language examples, templates, and vital feedback which students can access at any time.

Beginner Courses (A1-A2)

Foundations

A1 Complete Beginner - A2+ Confident Beginner

This course is team-taught between a native English-speaking instructor and a Japanese Teacher of English. It is designed for beginners who want to gain enough English ability to be more active in global business.

Ideal for students who… are beginners that want to quickly gain confidence and skills for their work.  

Examples of Key skills: foundational business vocabulary Reporting on completed task, basic office communication, necessary verb tenses.

Global Business Essentials

A2 Beginner

This course is for Beginner and Intermediate level Business students of English who wish to review and improve the fundamentals of English grammar, pronunciation and conversation. 

Examples of Key Skills: Students will learn and master the essential expressions, vocabulary and responses necessary for basic business situations and daily conversation. these include giving concise reports, confidently asking questions, as well as confirming and interrupting.

Ideal for students who… will benefit from consistent, repetitive practice with their instructor and classmates to fully develop their ability to use the target language.  

Intermediate Courses (B1-B2)

TEAMS Training

B1 early intermediate- B2+ advanced intermediate

A super-collaborative course designed for students with similar needs operating in the same team or department. 

Ideal for students who…
who want an intensive course to quickly learn new skills to enhance their existing or future job skills   

Examples of Key skills: problem solving, suggesting solutions, facilitating solution-based meetings, presentations, making recommendations, emphasizing required action, creating roadmaps, and more.     

Business in Action General

B1 early intermediate

Learn all of the skills needed for modern business communication.

Ideal for students who are already collaborating with global employees or those who want to gain confidence with the fundamental skills of business communication. 

Examples of key skills: Meeting facilitation, making requests, reporting on tasks, discussing priorities, email skill, daily office communication.   

 

Business in Action Sales

B1 early intermediate

A dynamic course aimed specifically at people with a sales role or those who closely support sales activities.

Ideal for students who…sales people who rely on overseas support or are actively collaborating with global teams or customers.

Examples of key skills: facilitating and participating in sales meetings, requesting support, reporting on sales activities, discussing deal progress and timelines, client-facing communication.  

Great Discussions

B1 Early intermediate

A course developed for students who want to actively participate in dynamic discussions.

Examples of
key skills:  articulating opinions, constructive disagreement, compromise, speaking from multiple perspectives, partial agreement, persuasion.  

Ideal for students who… want to increase their ability to actively discuss topics in meetings or who want to prioritize gaining fluency in English through practice.  

Daily Conversations

B1 Early intermediate

This course covers the necessary skills to build and enhance relationships through natural
conversation and cultural understanding.

Examples of Key skills: Initiating conversations, asking personal questions, inviting people, natural conversation technique, sharing opinions. 

Ideal for students who…
feel confident about their ability to do business in English but want to become natural at small talk, build business relationships and attend business dinners or company events.
